wireless network protection
I've got a rather newbish question.
I'm at my cousin's house and he has an unprotected wireless network. The wireless hub is a belkin Wireless G Router. I am wired into it. He connects to it wirelessly. I've tried setting up a home entwork through windows, and set up a wireless connection through windows (though im not conneted wirelessly). I've been googling for the past hour and a half without much success. His computer is a Mac and he tried setting it up on his, but it just made some new non-existent network, and after all attempts there is still nothing stopping anyone from connecting to the wireless. How can I protect it with WEP, or mac address filtering from my wired in PC? Thanks for your help AO

yeah the belkin wiz is bs. All it does is tell you what they want you to buy from them.

Ok try this link
http://www.belkin.com/support/downlo...-4_V4000&mode=
DL the software and run it in there you can set up the wireless encryption
and here is the manual read it
http://www.belkin.com/support/downlo...2520Manual.pdf
What version of mac does he have? manual says it only works with certian macs. Oh well must be the right mac if he is currently using the router.
But this is the deal you need to install the software that came with the router. He did keep the software right? Anyhow install it on your pc and when you run the wizard you can set up WEP.
