Running MSN Messenger from behind a Proxy
Hi Guys and Gals,
We are at a uni where our LAN prevents us from installing software, and we want to get MSN Messenger 5.0 running. We have the program installed on a USB thumbdrive and ran it, and it tells us we have to configure the connection settings. The proxy is proxy.xxxxxx.edu.au.
Please Help!
Thanks

try in Tools/Options/Connection - click on I use a proxy, but be aware - i had problems using it with http proxy - squid - it seems that MSN messenger (i think it was version 6) didnt work at all through the squid proxy with CONNECT method... ask ur sysadmin about the type of proxy and authentifications...
good luck!
