  • As an administrator of a system, you should know that if even one of your users is using a "weak password", you entire system could be put at risk. A smart thing for administrators to do on a regular basis, is to "audit" their password files. There are several tools available for this task, depending on what operating system you're running on. Perhaps the most popular of these "auditing tools" is one put out by L0pht Heavy Industries called "L0pht Crack". AntiCode has several other "password auditing tools" in its archives for a variety of operating systems and software packages.
