How does a web site override my home page?

Every time I reboot It gets overridden, even if I change the damn thing prior to closing/shutdown. I dont like this. What do I do?

maybe something to do with your windows registry... could you please explain the problem more.

Maybe you have got a little bug in your computer called JS/IEstart.gen check with a online av scanner and update your AV protection and then check your computer.

I think its is a bug too. I usually can figure out how it is being done before I remove it. this time I cant seem to figure out how.

Explain in detail more. When I change my home page in IE tools, to www.my-choice.com it will apply/save and work while I'm up and running. As soon as I reboot, the home page under tools changes to www.unwantedpage.com..!!!!!

That kind of happened to me. My search page got hijacked, found it is a problem many others have experienced. I put google in the search page option, still got overridden. It didn't work for me, but maybe you should note the page and then do a search in your registry for it. But even then, the registry key might just reappear.

Well there is an easy solution to your problem. Its name is Mozilla. http://www.mozilla.org
Simply put the best browser available, and unlike IE, you wont get forwarded to Microsoft's website instead of your homepage, and after you visit porn sites they wont be able to change your home page.....lol. Its full featured, easy to use, follows actual internet standards, and doesnt use proprietary formats.

Opera browser is another good choice, http://www.opera.com. I think Mozilla matches it for speed, now. Like Mozilla, it will solve those pesky M$ problems that keep cropping up with IE. Unlike Mozilla, on the free version Opera has a nice ad banner in the upper right corner for your viewing pleasure. That can be worked around with a little hacking, but you're left with a large blank space then. Hmm, I think I'll look at Mozilla.

Uhh, probably some spyware on your computer is making an advertiser on its service automatically change it after every restart. Get Ad-Aware.
