Please correct me if i am wrong...but:
Would that not prevent logins....if the user has no access to those files, how would the users privelges be able to get information from them? My example is based on my linux system. If i were to take away the read persmissions from my /etc/password then i would not be able to start any apllication, or loggon to my system.Quote:

Forgive me for being a total idiot.
You are correct. What I meant was more along the lines of locking them from network browses through user shares and such.
I am just not with it today.
