hello,
I agree with the Nmap statements. Also, Shields up is a great free resource to test your system from the outside in: https://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

I have to agree on nmap.
It is probably the most used.
I have read something about sscan though. Does anyone have experience with that ?

I am not sure nmap is what you want!
NMAP is a scanner that detect port on remote PC, but what if you want to know open ports in your home PC?
An answer is Shields UP at GRC.com, it will tell u what port are open on your computer. I don't know if it exhaustive or not? But it may help u.
An other way is to ask a friend to scan your PC with NMAP(NMAP is also available for M$)!
