VoIP security

Hi everyone this is my first post so i'm crossing my fingers!
Anyway I was wondering if anyone could help me here. You see the thing is i'm hoping to complete my masters degree and i'm considering a thesis related to security in VoIP and wanted to know if such a topic could have any academic significance.
