avast! Workaround

Hi all,

I'd like to know if there is a workaround for the avast! antivirus update process. Everytime I format my comp I have to go thru the internet update process all over again. This is really a tiresome experience since I use a Dial Up Connection. Is there any workaround for the update process? I've copied the folder called "Setup" that the internet updating wizard creates. My question is how can I use this folder to patch the updates after a re-install?

Did you try manually downloading and installing the updates? Would that work?

I'm not an Avast user, so I can't say for certain if you can work around the registration process.
