Can you tell us what steps you have taken so far and what tools/utilities you have used.
Also, what environment we are in .............. like is it a stand alone machine or on a network, and what the OS is?
What makes you think that you are still infected............I am wondering what is actually detecting it?

From what I can gather he is running XP. Its a stand alone machine. The person plugs there USB stick in and seems to still be there.
The person just used the Active scan and removed it as indictaed.
Sorry I cant give you any more detailed information as the person giving it to me is quite a *****.

I am wondering if the USB stick is the source of the infection?
I have seen a few cases of USB sticks, external HDDs and RW CD/DVDs recently.

Have 'em turn off that system restore thing. And then clean.
That is supposed to be in the Panda instructions:
