Holy $hit!!!! Geeze, next time you should, think about AIM or PM..... Because, that's unneeded posting, and I should know.
Well, anyway, back on topic........ This should do it for only 20 bucks (USA)! http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...1098&CatId=215

Much like the one that doodz attackin posted, Antec makes a cooling pad which works amazingly. I have a number of friends as well as clients who have Compaq laptops which overheat like you wouldn't believe on a daily basis. I hooked a bunch of them up with these coolers, and they are no longer having any problems. It's $10 more expensive than the other one, but I can personally vouch that it does the job.

Wow, thanks for all the responses. I think im going to go ahead and take a try with using a regular domestic fan first and if that doesnt solve anything ill probably get a cooling device. And cutty thats a great idea, but when i turn the laptop upside down so the cooling fan is pointing upward and isnt restricted in anyway the computer stays reletively cool and doesnt have to shutdown. Once again, thanks for the help!
i'm with you guys...they just dont have good cooling and you cant rely on tier fans. you have to do somehitng to keep them cool on the exterior...
Simply fix an AC in ur room, it will cool you and the laptop together.
:)
Sorry............this is off subject but,
Gigabite,
I have actually worked where you turned on all equipment in the hut to heat it up. It gets cold over here in the Winter....a site is being built, so we (IT) are in portable huts...they get cold over the week-end.
Air conditioning consisted of leaving the door open for 30 seconds :p
It would be nice if the job had been in Kenya!
Cheers
if all else fails a nice cold bucket of ice water may come in handy... ;)
