Yea, I was wondering about that.... JP?
I saw it down with the DB probs between 8am and 3pm (GMT)
A very boring day without AO!
:(
Glad it's back
:)
J.
I just couldn't reach AOfor about 20 minutes. So what's up?
I heard someone in #antionline say that JP took it offline because it was under DOS-attack... dunno if that's true, could be an explanation though...
Doesn't surprise me if it's true. Damn kiddies.
I noticed some trouble also. I ran a traceroute:

/antihaxor shrugs and sez:
EXACTLY..the trouble is not a Ddos attack. Thats why I put it up once NO NEED FOR THE REPEAT I think mine is clear enough *sheesh*
That's not a problem. Sheesh yourself. Do you know networking?
I don't respond to traces or pings, but that doesn't mean I don't work. DOH!
I should've quoted you again cause it seems to upset you.
No Korp what upsets me is insults hurled before you even let me explain what I was trying to say...thats why I said SHEESHQuote:

Greetings All:
Well, I have NO idea how in the hell such an innocent thread turned into flame fodder, but I don't like it! So chitlens, behave yourselves!
As for the site. We went down due to some database problems, not due to ddos. Basically the site shut itself down because of some strange database connects, the database thinking that it was being hacked. In reality, it shut itself down, several times, due to new features that I added without updating the strings in one of our database monitoring programs :drink:
Sooooo, I went through and updated everything that needed updated (i think), and it shouldn't happen again (i hope).
I'm closing this thread since the issue has been explained.
