Greetings from another ol' timer :)
I went to the bar......
Brad stopped going on IRC, so all my fapping material went with it.
It seems like every time I stop back by, there is a thread talking about how the forum has died.
This week I have had meetings about how I should:
Use Excel to demonstrate our wireless infrastructure
Document on paper, not on computer
Be a more productive / proactive manager
Not expect any budget increases for 2013
I started the week with an IQ of 160
I now have an IQ of 70 and 2/3 of my neurons are refusing to fire and the other third is threatening to shut down completely if I don't immediately imbibe 2.3 liters of Vodka
Well, sorry to have abandoned you all. Like has been mentioned, interests changed. I'm still a geek but I'm into landscape and nature photography now. Coding just bores me anymore.
HAHA! Longest serving member posting in this thread so far for the win!
I wonder what JP is up to these days....
for one, the new site is still broke.
secondly, ads.
finally ads.
I went in for heart surgery and had to take a year off. I missed the vista rollout (thank god) and Windows 7 was even lamer. I came here for old school info, like htaccess and such perl/nix based info. Just like black ice, when the cool guys ran it, it was good. Once you get the lamers involved, then your product is lame.
A prime example of how the site is broke is certain threads have 0 views but 3 replies. wtf? Also when I look at the new post link, it will state no new posts but to check... I forget the wording but I know damn well there are new posts AND they had views. As the others stated why go to a site when you can go to the source of your problems forum. Why come here for a linksys router issue when linksys (cisco) has a great forum (ha) I just stop by to see if nilhil is still kicking.
