Well there you go, only the idiots whom download that will get caught ...Quote:
they are asked to download what it claims is an update of Adobe Systems Inc's Flash player.
Yes... but fact is that 90% of the people fall for this. As most of you know.. i live in a small non-tech village. But the ENTIRE village managed to get infected. For me its good (making money fixing the pcs). But here... EVERYONE fell for it. Its like nihil mentioned in another post about weakest link. :D
Yes.. facebook should maybe find a bit of a better solution to avoid these kind of problems. But the main problem still remains. The l(users). And technology CANNOT fight against that.
While many people fancy sites like facebook etc... its these sort of sites that cause most of the problems when it comes to online theft. I for my part have NEVER signed up with anything similar to facebook (thanks to my paranoia) and have been spared such issues. Maybe taking away such services would help global security? Definately.. but its like always.. security takes away comfort and fancy things. So the people are still put to the choice of their poison of choice. Sadly.... most of them choose the poison of comfort and 'fanciness' (dunno if that word exists.. nihil.. does it??? ) :D
Cheers.
Hey there,
I agree with your post. The same thing happened with the Xp antivirus blah blah. It says they are infected and asked to click to download.
Facebook should release a document on what to click on or whatever but I still say people will only learn if they have been bitten once.
Would not be bad if they only got bitten once. From my experience it seems to be the same users over and over and over. Keeps me in business but frustrating none the less
