Windows XP Pro & MSN Messenger

Does anyone know how to remove Messenger from Windows XP Professional?

Any help would be appreciated....

Any easy way I found to disable it (hotmail starts it, so do other ms apps) just rename the exe file to something it can't find.

msmsgs.exe -> msmsgs2.exe

At least it won't start all the time, gets annoying to me. As far as a clean uninstall, ms might have hooked it into the OS, so there is no easy uninstall script setup for it :(

Here is a method that I would suggest :

a) insert Linux iso CD
b) restart system, stopping in BIOS to ensure that the 1st bootable device is the CD-ROM
c) follow instructions, reading available help files where needed
d) reboot

MSN messanger successfully removed! yeah :D

Thats my solutionf for my windows problems in about 3 weeks....
I can't do that now, coz I have to finish of my studies, which are all run on Windows... craptastic
