See avdven's reply to your other thread:

And take his advice.
cheers:
What OS are you on???
Maybe Proxies can help you there (although thats not what proxies are designed for), or use something like http://www.anonymizer.com/
Try just looking online for a bunch of proxies online, and configure your browser for them. You can usually find the instructions in your browser's help files, or the internet configuration options.
Norton Internet Security also has a privacy protection feature.
if you haven't seen UKnetSec post on the JAP anon proxy you should definitely check it out.

three cheers to UKnetSec.. I'd gladly donate to him all my ap's for this piece of info.
I'd go for the JAP anon proxy..
Realy good and even quite fast..
A lot faster then the completly anonimous freenet

If it is just for surfing the net go in to you're browser settings in mozilla it is under edit scroll down to prefrences click on advanced click on proxys you should see a list for FTP socks http etc im presuming it is a http proxy you are wanting to surf anonymously so click on http and go to http://www.stayinvisible.com/page1.html and select an anonmous proxy or high anonymity and put the IP address in the area where it says http proxy and next to that there is a port number it will either be port 80, 8080 , 3128 to set it up to use a proxy server in Microsoft internet explorer click on the tab at the top of the browser called view (or tools ) -> internet options -> connections and configure it from there
NOTE MS internet explorer assumes that the same ports are used for HTTP gopher and FTP so to configure proxys for them click advanced and configure it from there
hope this helps
Try out these proxies..........
some work, some work better, some dont.........
Good Luck

Here is a great site: http://www.multiproxy.org/
Tons of proxies, the database is updated frequently....
They have a neat little tool: http://www.multiproxy.org/env_check.htm
The tool it-self is actually pretty simple; below is some Perl that i put together- the script spits out all of the %ENV (Environment Variables?) Check the IP given in the script against your IP to make sure your proxy is set up correctly... Their tool is a lil' more fancy, i just thought it be neat to display ;-)
#!/usr/local/bin/perl
#
# Author name: wbw
# Creation date: Monday, August 26, 2002
#
# Description: %ENV
#
print "Content-Type: text/html\n\n";
print "<html><body bgcolor=c0c0c0><center><font face=arial>";
print "<table bgcolor=000000>";
print "<tr><td><font color=ffffff>Server Environment Variables</td></tr>";
while(($k, $v) = each(%ENV))
{
print '<tr><td bgcolor=ffffff>' . "$k" . ' = ' . "$v" . "\n</td></tr>";
}
print "</td></tr><td><tr><font size=1 color=FFFFFF>Written in Perl</font></tr></td>";
print "</table></body></html>";
i know of this prog, it doesnt hide your ip but its called surf secret, and what it does id it removes any cached passwords or other personal info from your comp at schedualed times, not really sure if thats the type of thing your lookin for but it does protect from prying eyes some.
