Darn. :(
off course i'll still ride it out, locked down xp install with normal user accounts with 0 admin priv's
and off course cue ByteWrangler with he's usual punch line...... :D
There's no problem that I'm aware of with running IE 8 on XP, so I don't know why somebody would still be running seven.
I agree JPnyc, as the only reason I can think of would be legacy systems?
IE 8 will run with XP (SP2), Vista and 7 so why not go for it?...........surely there aren't people still running SP1???????????
IE7 won't run on a 2000 box, so there doesn't seem to be a logical reason? Perhaps HYBR|D can elucidate, as I believe he still uses IE7?
INCIDENTALLY FOLKS:
XP SP2 retires in June/July this year so please get SP3 ;)
I have a collection of "addon/s" ;)
sorry bout the vagueness 48hrs of no sleep is depriving me of thinking ability. under a lot of stress atm... :(
OK pal.........you just chill out huh?
To be honest, the only thing I use IE for is updating software, so I didn't know about add-ons:)
I tend to use the "Other Browser" that doesn't give you music and singing like ByteWrangler's
EDIT:
I do, on Windows 2000, which I still consider to be an excellent OS!Quote:
I think you would be surprised at the number of people still running IE6!
