Last night I stayed up to watch the 1983 movie Wargames starring Matthew Broderick and Dabney Coleman. Just for the curious, what other movies are out there that have computer security related topics? Besides the Matrix, Hackers, and Sneakers. ;)

Hmmm... Can't think of too many others off the top of my head. BUt a few are Antitrust, Swordfish (kinda computer related), and that other one with the kid who got kicked out of private school and terrorists take it over. ;)
Antitrust I think was really good.
There's one about Mitnick (starring Skate Ulrich), don't know the title...
Negative,
If it's the movie I'm thinking of, it was never released in the United States.
It made it's debut in Paris under the title Cybertraque.
Some ******* named Jonathan Littman, author of The Fugitive Game, a 1996 book about federal authorities' pursuit and capture of Mitnick, is charging the studios with using his work without paying fees or royalties. More lawyers getting rich. That also means it probably will not be released here anytime soon.
Supposedly, the movie is based on the book Takedown: The Pursuit and Capture of Kevin Mitnick, America's Most Wanted Computer Outlaw-By the Man Who Did It.
The book was written by New York Times reporter John Markoff and computer security specialist Tsotomu Shimomura, who was instrumental in tracking down Mitnick.
Just an FYI.

You could be right, you know! You always are, I guess ;)
I was thinking the movie's name was 'TakeDown', but I was not sure. And that Tsotomu Shimomura guy definitely was a character in it!
Tron. :)
As for BOOKS....
Snow Crash - Neal Stephenson
Wyrm - Mark Fabi
Two generally good books I recently (re/)read.
And for the less mainly-techno people:
The Otherland Series, by Tad William.
I haven't seen any of them.
Raditz-- And you posted here for what reason?
Anyways, could someone give me a basic plot summary-type thing of Antitrust? I've had a few friends recommend it, and I'd like to know if its worth renting.
Thanx
