I am a Regional Weather Forecaster for the DoD from Rhode Island. Before I started work for the govt, I did a decent amount of, what most would consider, trivial work with programming and security.
I am here to help get back in touch with what I have missed in the passed years and maybe lend a hand to a few people here.

There are a few of us on this site who are interested in meteorological analysis and math modelling. I am sure you can contribute in that area as a "hands on guy"
Most of us are "academic" rather than "practical"...................it helps to have a guy who knows when it's raining around
