Cosmos Games...
Hackers have their wargames, I think we should have our own Cosmos Games here...
Here's just an idea: We set a nice controversial topic (death penalty, anyone?); anyone who joins the Games, will be assigned a side to defend (it would be nice of course if you'd have to defend the point of view you don't agree with). I'll set a topic on Saturday, March 16 (suggestions are always welcome), and let you guys know your team...
Interested? Just leave a note ;)
PS: The Games WILL go on, even if I have to defend my own opinions against my other own opinions... See? I already confused myself... I'm gonna love those games...
No need to say AntiPoints aren't allowed in the Cosmos Games, is there?

Sometimes you really scare me negative ;)
I haven't been in a good debate since college. To bad I am never around on the weekends.
-
Negative - just don't go to getting angry with yourself. ;)
-
Sounds like fun, and I hope everyone really enjoys the games. ;)

Quite an idea. I'm all for it. Can JP actually remove the 'assign antipoints' button, just to be sure we don't have APs slipping out?

I'm down...
How about something less Ethnocentric than the Death Penalty (which would be 1/2 the US vs. the Civilized world). What about Life on Other Planets or maybe the Role of Religion in modern Civil Society?
-
Sounds interesting, although my arguments never seem to get from my brain to the keyboard quite the way I want them to.

Sounds like a good idea Neg.
The team with the most points or valid arguements
should get a free AO t-shirt or a lunch box.
Let the games begin.. ;)

That sounds very good to me, especially as I was lonely and bored all weekend, cause nobody was posting too much! Although I have to say I agree with jcmcb, the death penalty might go beyond fun and games.... ;)

Let's debate:
Is modern technology good or evil?
Globalism vs. Nationalism!
"The individual" vs. "Society".
Command line vs. GUI
