the psu luke the PSU..try another PSU...
alwasys a good idea to remove all cards when testing..
If your to use another OS.. try a BART PE .. (read Iron geeks tutorial), if it doesnt shutdown, try another PSU..if it does you will need to look at the drivers for the mobo.. windows isnt sending the KILL to the BIOS for the final shutdown..
I havent had to fault find this one for a while.. but If you USE A VOLT METER.. there is one pin that controles the PSU from the MoBo, if it dosent change then back to drivers.. but if it droops, it is a compatability issue between the mobo and PSU..try a different BRAND of PSU
You are able to measure the voltages aren't you?

I have a bart pe disk I will try it. But sorry there is no way it is the psu yes I can test the votlages. If a psu is bad it wont turn on or restarts a computer after a couple seconds, it doesnt keep one on. And there was only one card and I took it out. Likle i said it shut down in the bios flash util.

Undies isn't saying the PSU is fritzed .............
He [I think :)] is saying that the comms from the Mo/Bo TO the PSU are not happening.
TRY ANOTHER PSU :)
Compatability issues are a BITCH.
and you can't always get the definitive answer from the manufacturers website, as sometimes YOU are HOLDING the definitive answer

I have never heard of comp issues with a mb and psu. Its a standard atx psu and a standard atx mb nothing is propatary. If anything an enlight would wouk better than another brand. They are pretty much as standard as it comes.

So, the PSU; did you try one :)
As for compatability issues .........
The PSU has to be told to stop.
The Mo/Bo does the talking.
NOW will you try one ..................................Please :)
