a filter is the one connected on the phone jack to split the telephone line and the digital signal from the computer. There are 2 kinds of filters; 1 plug filter and 2 plug filter. I'm just confused how does 1 plug filter works? Does it splits the voice signal and digital signal?
The Filter essentially splits the phone line into 2 lines in one wire, the High Frequency, High Speed DSL Data Line and the Low Frequency for Voice.

DjM is right, however as I was saying, there are 2 types of filters available. I just want to know the difference between a 2 line filter and 1 line filter.
It's really quite simple, a two plug filter (like the one I posted above) will allow you to connect two phones to it, or a phone that requires two lines. The one plug filter.....well...one phone.Quote:
