Hacking systems
Hello all of you,
Do you know where I must ask to have my system tested ?
I explain. I have (now) a static IP, with a permanent connexion. And I want to insure myself that my system is ok to sustain hack attack.
So, I want "white hats" to test it, and to say me "Ok, that was good except for that, but that can be corrected that way" ...
Anyone interested ?
Thanks in advance,
Jean-Francois

I will have to do that from my house, 'cause you can't enter an IP address different from the one you're using.

Here ya go. In depth scans for free. http://scan.sygatetech.com

Seems not to bad. I tried both, and both said "Ok, you are using a firewall, you blocked quite everything".
Now, I want some of you to try to take it ... 'cause a security scanner will never be as clever as a real man.
Any volunteer ? Just send me an email (to gobin@gobinjf.be) to give me your IP address (so I won't complain about hack attempts) and I'll give you mine.
Thanks in advance.
Jean-Francois Gobin.
By the way : those are MINE. I'm not trying to lure you into hacking another system. Just make a "whois gobinjf.be@whois.dns.be"

I've no intention of swapping ip addresses with you but if you take a look at nessus from http://www.vulnerabilities.org it should give you a pretty good nmap based scan. As you noticed with another scanner you used, it will scan the ip address of the machine you use to request the scan - it would otherwise be a tool for hordes of script kiddies.

Quite cool ...
Unfortunately, the NESSUS complimentary is not active (could not connect ...), but I tried the nmap one. Should I have tried that with another unix host.
But it's still a scan, and not a real intrusion attempt.
