I think we have some tutorials by gore on AO too, on dual booting. I dont have time to search for it now, but im sure someone will reply with a link in 5 minutes :)

Your going to have to partition your hard drive. I am not sure how big your hard drive is, but whichever OS you use more, you would want to have the more space, though the first thing that you are going to have to make sure is that you partition your Debian side of your hard drive a little different.
Unlike Windows, which uses a large cluster for it's HDD space. *Nix, has multiple spaces.
You will have you main space, your swap space, and can't think of the name of it, but there is one more space.
I am damn near positive that if you put in your debian disk it, will have a auto-partition function for you.
Just make sure that your swap space is twice the size of your ram.
Just out of curiousity why are you using 98?
As a side note, you might want to get RH, instead of Debian. RH/Fedora is a lot more user friendly than debian.
