it seems like java comes after c++
so what do u think about this??

Yes, Java was clearly based on C++. This doesn't mean you need to learn C++ first. The books were written to assume that at least some of their audience had C++ experience, after all it is (was) a very widely used programming language.
I did C++ first, but that was because Java hadn't been invented at the time (Gosh)

You can learn java without doing c++ BUT its not a great practice.
Options:
1] If u have time to learn just learn c++ -> java.
2] if u dont try to do it all-together
3] if u r learning java just to pass yr exams i.e u r not taking it to be a great programer. just go directly for java.
Answer: Opt [1] is the best to learn internals of java so that when adv. concepts comes u will not start scraching yr head.
