Windows 8.1 is available, for those who like to test the water.........................Personally, I cannot say very much, as I don't have touchscreen.
I have the regular Win8, so I will look at his one and report back:D

And as Always - DO NOT INSTALL Beta software on a mission critical machine.

As with any beta software, this is probably not something you want to do on a production machine. Microsoft says that while some people will be able to uninstall the preview (and then upgrade to the final 8.1 build when it's available), under some circumstances this isn't possible, so you'll have to be prepared to blow the machine away to upgrade it.
what is new in windows8 from windows7 please let me know ?
Better to wait for Win 10, I do have the win 10 preview installed and it is MUCH better than Win 8 or 8.1
Win 8 or 8.1 looks like a phone screen and not like any PC/laptop OS that a person can use.
Got a 2nd or old 3rd cpmputer sitting around? I install Win 10 Preview on a old Dell Optiplex 755 with 2 GB of ram and it runs just fine.
Jacs Paint shop Pro for win 98 runs just fine on it after setting to run in compatibility XP SP3 mode.
Thank you rlirpa! The info I needed.
You're more than welcome Shay. :)
