nmap rulez!! i dont need to say anything else...
Yes , nmap is great seeing as though it uses tcp/ip fingerprinting querying the remote systems stack. But if your too lazy to use it through your shell , you can always use nmap fe , which is a gui extension of nmap . But i always prefer the command line.
