I have to agree with Nightfalls_Girl. It does not matter how you were inspired to commit a crime. What matters in this case, is that the boys commited premeditated assault with a deadly weapon and murder. And I cannot believe the boys statement that they did not intend to hurt anyone. Even teenage children with Down Syndrome and a minimal intelligence of a 5 year old can be taught that guns are dangerous, and that they should not play with them. These boys have killed in cold blood, to release them when they turn 19 is telling children in America that you can do whatever the Hell you want and suffer minimal consequences. I say Hang em High and Watch em Swing!
Thank you, I allways love it when some one agrees with me, its makes me feel as tho my thoughts are right with somthing...
Okay i know i said i wuz leaving but i decided to lurk a little and this **** is enought to pull me out of retirement. Am i the only one who remembers when they tried this EXACT same thing with columbine? I dont remeber if it was DOOM2 or quake that the worthless peice of **** parents tried to blame it on. But the fact of the matter is if the parents had done their job and busted some ass once in a while and also taken the time to listen to what thier kids were saying it probably could have been avoided. I think thesse little bastards parents should be doing time in a cell right next to them. AND whoever they got the guns from. just remember video games dont kill people little punk asss jerks kill people. My $.02
From now on, blaming a video game for your actions should result in an instant ass kicking. And if parents claims its video games and not their fault, then they shouldn't be parents, because any dipshit can stop a kid from buying/playing games. How did they get the shotgun in teh first place? Did the parents ever tell them not to play with the shotgun they used?
its partheticly sickning,
all the people that i see in town are children and tha majority of them younger than my self, all of them have babys.
I guess that in a way is why thay beleave it is ok to do what thay do. thay never really had a chance for a real up bringing, just a child trying to teach a child how to act..
Personally I believe nothing could have prevented the Columbine thing. You can point fingers and say, well we could have done this and we could have done that.... blah blah blah. There is nothing wrong with looking at a situation and trying to find ways to perhaps get a fair warning for future events. But placing a root cause on something like that cannot be done. Those parents are typical 95 percentile of what parents do in this country. There is nothing to single them out. The kids were evil and they had the balls to make their dreams a reality. Come to think of it, I bet way more kids than that were killed from abuse and auto accidents in the first quarter of this year.
Is it the speed limits? Seatbelts? Abuse laws? Not really but fate? Perhaps.
If you really want to look for a root cause, maybe everyone should consider the U.S. and Western and world Societie's emotional action toward voilence and death whenever a problem or feeling comes into being that cannot easily be identified with. Think about it. What is your first thought at the word: Naked Child? "Kill them all and shove their Dickys down their throats." and you picture yourself commiting extreme violence with splashing blood and recieving PLEASURE from it. How about Gays? - "Kill them they deserve to die a slow horrible death from Aids! Ha ha ha." Or the Taliban? "Kill them all; the godless heathens! Nuke the middle east out of existence. Yeah baby!" What about your neighbor of a different race or religous persuason "Beat them to death those people who don't think like me, look at them over there. They think they are soooo above me, I bet if I whacked his face in I would feel better about myself" Or even for some of you: abortion "Kill the f@cking murderers, chop of there arms and legs then burn them" One may say with a gleem or pleasure in his eye and a smile...
Torture them all in fact DEATH is TOO good for them. What about the people who call you names and separate your group from main steam and belittle you... kill them. MAKE THEM PAY
Kill them make them pay
Kill them make them pay
kill them make them pay
day after day
day after day
day after day
It's not TV, games, movies, or aliens. It's ALL of US and it's not going to change, exept in maybe another 1000 years. It's how we treat one another. I am not talking about protecting yourself from harm from another, I am talking about the standard everyday way we interect with one another. A collective responsibility.
phyc avaluation is needed i think...
Hmm....... Let's see
"Naked Child" brings to mind innocents that need to be cared for in some fashion. Is this a rock group or something?
Would like to see gays stop living in sin, but even I can't wish a death by aids onto anyone.
Killing the Godless Taliban Heathens - Ok I'm down with that.
Can't nuke the Middle East out of existence - radio active oil would be a bad thing. Of course ater about 40 years, when the half life of the radiation has depleted to a level tolerable by humans, we could sell tickets to see the eight wonder of the world - COME SEE THE SEA OF GLASS!!!!!! Just think of the tourist revenue!
I have no problems with other races or religions, unless an individual or group of individuals is attempting to wipe out my race or religion, then all is fair in love and war.
Abortion is sad, but not worth commiting murder.
Torture - while a possible satisfying solution, it would be to heavily regulated by OSHA to be effective, not to mention abhorratively expensive.
I do agree that american society is becoming way too violent, but I think you will find this violence to be significantly more prevalent within gangs, drug pushers, criminals, etc... rather than within the typical American home.
You can't force a person to be kind and reasonable. All you can really do is be an example of a better more content lifestyle, attempt to persuade an individual to consider following the example you set, and hold them responsible for their individual actions.
I was trying to use words that would incite anger among readers. For instance I used "Naked Child" as a reference to child pornography. If I would have said child pornography, a whole lot of people would go blindly off the deep end and turn my point into an argument for Killing all child pornographers and not even pondering the underlying message. Those statements were actually carefully worded to incite some anger intentions but not too much.
The point is this. We as a society tend to face issues that confront us in an extreme emotional state. Our thoughts for resolving problems are most likely violent in nature, me included. So during this whole process I was wondering and looking at myself thinking. This can't be good. Even if those topics I discussed don't anger you. I could pull the topics off any publication and find something that would. Then multiply those feelings by 1 billion as every person faces their own problems and decides violence is the answer. I think our children pick up on that, and I am saying "that can't be good"
Personally I think people who zoom in and out in traffic and cut me off while I am sipping my Starbucks, Venti drip with room for cream, should be executed in the very field they almost forced me into. But I am working on it :) So I restate my point.
It's a collective responsibility. But at the same time, perpetrators of violent acts must be held accountable to themselves. Their brains ultimately made the decision to shoot a car. I don't care if they were beaten and tortured everyday and forced to play video games and watch violent TV. The action and consequent reaction by society rides on them and only them. In fact my western method of thinking warrant my response that "they should fry in the electric chair or enjoy a nice long rape in prison" Why? Because I picture a happy family enjoying a holiday that ended when what appears to be a nice person, had his face blown off while a child of our society laughed on the side line knowing what he just did was fun. Maybe some time in the future I won't have these thought because people won't blow away other people for fun, but until then how many children heard my private thoughts from their own parents today. And then more tomorrow, and then thoughts from friends and neighbors to the point where there in no place left for a rational response beyond violent intentions?
Sip. Love my Starbucks.
