upgrade 2003 - 2008
Run into abit of a snag here. Running 2003 R2 with exchange 2007.
Now apparently we have to migrate exchange to another box because we cannot do the upgrade with this installed according to the compatibility tool.
Anyway around this as we don't have extra hardware?
OK Yes there is a way.

The only good way to install Windows 2008 is a fresh install.
Do yourself a favor and save yourself from hours - days of exchange down time.
Buy a new box, fresh install of server, fresh install of Exchange, migrate exchange to new box.
Set up a test lab to test your migration.
Spend money now on hardware, or money later on support, downtime, eventually the new hardware you should have purchased in the first place...
Hey buddy ,
Thanks. This is what was propsed to management but they declined it so the upgrade is on hold.
Thought there was a sneaky way to do this but there isnt.
