I daresay not dead.
Something like the old watering hole you get drunk in during the heydays... then getting out of town for years, then you come back and walks about and sees the sign, re-enters...

I use Firefox extensively for maximum tabs and even private browsing.
IE I use just to update Windows.
My issue with Chrome: It relies extensively on disk cache. Open 25 tabs within it, it will...

IMHO, you should reformat the drive (low-level) and delete all partitions. Just assign folders. Partitioning used to be an issue with MS-DOS that can't handle cache for a drive with a size greater...
Very nasty, that one.
I inserted a flash disk of a friend into my system and it immediately hijacked the Admin rights and I couldn't use the Windows Explorer Folder Options anymore, particularly...

I took a look at my PC (using Windows XP SP3) and saw the same (thanks for that tip--filed for future reference). I have three (HDDs)...

If I'm not mistaken, the creation of the partitioning was done during the low-level (i.e., hard) formatting system. That is done BEFORE the installation of the Operating system such as Windows....

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Spyder32!
Here's looking forward to another 32 for you!
... and double that every year as well for a wish of

I agree... a bit (until it pokes my sleepy nodes). Here's the reason:
A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo, and when the herd is hunted, the...

If the primary concern is data storage and retrieval (security via encryption and other protocols presumed), back-up storage media (portable and online) are considered critically important.

I use Zone Alarm (free) as firewall and AVG (free, too) as anti-virus. For cookie-embedded spywares and data miners, I have AVG Anti-Spyware, Spybot S&D and AdAware SE (all free versions).

I have no idea about a PDF Recovery Software.
When the downloaded file is corrupted, that means there was an error in the downloading process itself and file rebuild after downloading (for...

Maybe we should ask Nihil.
There have been times when a thread gets interesting as could be surmised from the number of responses posted but eventually, Nihil sniffs them out and the trolls get...

Wow! A tough decision taken out of a bored routine?
It's for the country, in service to what it is all for. Good luck and take care.
Stay fit and balanced--physically, emotionally and mentally....

Consider it as just a low "hump" in an otherwise smooth road of life, huh?
Do, get well soon... it will render you sedentary for a while, perhaps. But then there are plenty of...

Hmmm... Stella... "stellar" (would the naming have been influenced by the recent meteor shower?).
At any rate, my congratulations to your sister ... and to you, as an uncle.
August 17th, 2007 11:43 AM
Congratulations and best wishes!
We wouldn't mind if you post a jpeg or two documenting the ceremony... or has perezhilton got the exclusive coverage?
Way to go!
Where there's a backlash, one has to do a backslash by pointing fingers before the public... or so they think their damage control method should be.
Conventional wisdom said:

And they play chess as they assimilate the bottle contents.
IT WORKED! Thanks, Nihil.
I did the following:
1. Manually deleted the profile then the whole Mozilla folder (I use only FF) from the C:\\Documents and Settings ... Application Data.
I'm not sure if I had that script-blocker on (and I have been blocking a few scripts in the past particularly when opening emails) BUT...
Might it be the reason why my installed Firefox [just...
I suggest that you look into the "gateway" concept in telecommunications. Where there are differing protocols (and, apparently, rights into certain communication linkages) that...

Got that, Nihil... so we have (potential) agent provocateurs in our midst.
When good intentions are diverted to malevolent actions... hmmmm.
... maybe we should have a signpost stating that...

I have AVGAS, A-Squared, SpybotSD and Ad-AwareSE and I regularly update each (daily when I manage to have the time to go online) and do a quadruple-redundant scanning every other day. I'd say AVGAS...

Copy the heads-up, though of no immediate concern of mine.

Peace (as HTRegz is oft to say)!
