ok thanx for answering my question but let me ask you one more how to I go about reading these "13 unread messages"?

Outlook isnt in my programs list but, I dont think its uninstalled totally because you know sometimes if you go a website and it has the email for the person posted on the site eg: mailto...

I have both hotmail and gmail... actually I use both about the same if that makes any sense.

I think it does open Outlook ( which I dont use) because if you click the "new message" button below it it opens outlook. but if I dont have outlook why would I have 13 new messages in it?
