From the zdnet interview posted here and it seemd that the win 03 server has addressed many security issues from the past ... (especially buffer overflow issues) as well as some of the performance...

by the way ... what is the purpose of pwd caching on a 95/98/nt workstation ... if i'm correct they don't use Active directory and are so much more insecure... why in the world would you wanna cache...

trun off file and print sharing and client for ms networks if you don't use them

I do know how the ping itself determ. if the host is up or not but what I need to know is how does the script determine if the ping got a reply
