it is possible that they have noticed the WoW traffic and blocked it, however unless there was something in the contract when you signed up for internet access saying "no gaming" I doubt it.

at a minimum you should be able to check temperature by rebooting and going into the bios. Keep an eye on it for 5 minutes. If it hits 60 or more theres definately a problem.
