I read this same thing in another forum tonight so, yours is not an isolated incident.
The suggestions there were mostly to run Adaware and Spybot. I believe the feeling was basicly that spyware...

Actually, I'm not sure that will work. Isn't the key shown in the registry encrypted? I just looked at my reg entry at that location and it did not show my correct key.

Static IP and Dynamic IP
Static is the same all the time. Dynamic changes each time you log on.
Static IP's are generally used with cable and dynamic with dial-up. Not sure about DSL.
