ok finally figured it out. even tho i was logged in as admin i still had to go into permissions for the key and set full control. after that i was able to delete it all. thanks for your quick reply....

tried that. i get a message " unable to delete all values, error deleting key. i have tried using a couple of third party reg cleaners also and they will not remove it either. i am running windows xp...

can anyone tell me about acshield. it was on my pc and i used uninstall to remove it but there are still registry keys i cannot remove. how can i delete these? regedit 32 says unable to delete this...

Thanks still working on it but it is getting better. started using netscape instead of internet explorer so at least i have internet access on the thing.

can someone please tell me what msiesh is? it shows up in my installed programs list under control panel / add remove programs. whenever i try to use internet explorer i get an error cannot find...

i used zonealarm (the free one) and later za pro on a 98se pc and had no problems with either one. haven't tried it on xp yet. i quit using it cause it is kind of a resource hog.
