    perhaps you could try installing an SSH server on...

    perhaps you could try installing an SSH server on each of the borders of your network. the ssh sending server will encrypt the outgoing data... and the receiiving server would be able to interpret it.

    you can encrypt traffic using WiredEquivalentPrivacy. But your SSID won't be encrypted.

    if you want to hide your network's SSID, disable the SSID broadcast in your router's configuration utility.
