I am attempting to set up phpbb on my site but I don't understand where it says to input my database name and database user name and password. What should be placed there? Thanks.

What OS is your mother running? If it is Windows you can repair it with the OS disc. You can get some freeware AV software if you feel as though McAfee is not doing the job. I use AVG with my Windows...

Blue-tech.com offers the drivers you need, but you need to register. It is free though. Have you tried the manufacturers website also?

Firebird seems to be doing ok on Windows 95. I have an old pc on my countertop in the basement running Windows 95. I installed Firebird and it seems to be doing well. Hooray! :D

Learning what? Linux? Any distro is good for learning. When it comes down to it, Linux is Linux no matter what type of GNU its wrapped up in. Your best bet would be to pick up a few books about Linux...
