I think he means is it the Memory cant ve read the same as memory cant be written?
Not really memory cant be read would nearly always be a hardware or configuration fault, memory cant be written...

Just out of interest is your hard drive nearly full, say about 70%?

Can you post the exact message including any codes.
With memory errors the clue to what is going on is always in the code it gives!
