Which version of windows are you on ??
I assume that you are on windows xp. You can try to repair the current installation of windows.
Boot with the xp cd and then select the repair option.

Well to get xp back do this
Get the xp cd and boot with it.
Then reach the recovery console.
Then it'll ask the windows partition to repair. Then type in the admin password.
