Well thanx for the replies the shell he is using is bash shell and no command is working not even EXPORT.It is just telling command not found.

A serious problem has occured in my friends system that for every command in linux it is giving "command not found".
except "cd"
Even for "vim" it is giving command not found

Check out the disk space.Because tar -xvzf creates a new directory.If u have enough disk space then do the unzip command and then tar-xvzf with absolute path.
By the way can I know thw exact...

In my knowledge "Whatis" command just tells what the command does in just one line.
For example if u do "$whatis vim" then it will tell u what is vim and it will tell different types of vim editors.

Well as the port 139 came in the discussion.Then if anyone connects to your 139 port then he can just blow up ur computer.Actually through port 139 one can directly access to ur processor and memory...
