Both my Burners are Lite-on and I havent had any problems, on the other hand I don't buy the cheaper CD's and DVD's....

Sounds similar to mmc on XP.
Go start>run>mmc
Then go File>add remove snap-on
This brings up the same sort of commands. Its quite handy..

SP2 pretty much only updates the firewall and adds a pop up blocker. Be careful though, Ive heard if you dont have a legitimate copy of XP, it can lock you out of your own system.
