Everyone who mentioned Outpost Pro and snort have given the best answers in my opinion.

DNS is chatty. Until I configured my IDS to not alert me about it, I was seeing tons of false positives. I wouldnt worry about it.

I wouldnt worry about it man. I noticed the same thing about a year ago, researched it and left it alone. You will probably see no issues with it. If you want to see the open TCP and UDP connections...
