i believe all you have to do is ENABLE sharing of c: as C (or whatever the default name is), reboot and disable...

I don't follow you.. I already managed to break into his system, and now I am half waiting for his reposte, and half waiting for what kind of security he will put up next.
Have I ever said I know...

I've been away for a little while, doing school work. I am happy to say that the NetBIOS brute forcing succeeded and I got into my brothers comp :D
He has closed down his netbios...

I FOUND IT!!!
I got enum+ with full source code. The cool thing being that my own, modified enum source was beginning to look just like it. I was on the right track for sure. Now I have the...

nat - NetBIOS Auditing Tool
nat [-o <output>] [-u <userlist>] [-p <passlist>] <address>
How do you brute force with this?

I am not sure if this has been mentioned already, but... Could a brute forcer for netbios possibly do the job? If anyone has one, let me know, and I'll check.

that would indeed be the method... unless the share was passworded, which it is.
you need a valid username and password to access it.
i have a username - his. i don't have a password - that's my...

i like your idea, but it's something i cannot do, i'm afraid
there hasn't been a power outage here for several years..
norway runs mostly on 30 year old water turbines
if we have a power outage,...

I grabbed the tool from a russian website, since the company page (http://www.roses-labs.com) seemed to be offline. Version 1.0 was the newest version google would lead me to. However, in the readme...

don't think i haven't tried
besides, i'm norwegian, so is my brother, and it is unlikely that his password is in any english dictionary you can find on the net. my brother being a smart guy, it is...
April 28th, 2004, 06:34 PM
i have already found that one..
not entirely sure i remember why i didn't use it, but I think it was that the true brute forcing was dictionary based and the other password method (the very quick...

you make a lot of good points there. however, i have only got that one brother, and moving on to "a target that the 'prize' can be gained with a more reasonable expenditure" is thus not an option,...

there really isn't a way for me to prove that, is there?
should I send you a picture of my brothers computer?
an nmap scan?
everything I can think of could easily be faked.

no, you misunderstood my point. he has JUST disabled the services. as I said previously, we are BOTH in a lan behind the SAME computer that acts as our firewall and really has nothing to do with the...

He has just closed all other services. We are both behind the same server, that is running a firewall for us.
I am using WinXP on my stationary machine and Linux on my laptop, same as him. Brute...

oh, and about that batch file.. won't that be just as slow as PwlTool? I need something that can try several passwords at once. Besides, how do you generate all the brute force passwords with a batch...

I can't get the file, because I can't get to the computer. When he's not there, he locks it. He would know if I rebooted it or anything.
I'm trying to show that people can get in anyway.

Just out of interest, I am trying to hack a share on my brothers computer. We're connected in a gigabit LAN. I have tried lots of different programs, but none seem to do the job...

it's as dead as they come.
i would gladly use another brute forcer, but I have tried a lot, and nothing seems to work well.
Brutus has one, but it just...

I need to get my hands on a fast netbios brute forcer that does not need a dictionary (non-english language, can't find appropriate dictionary). I have read that there is a...
