If you want to bad enough, you will be able to run and update a pirated copy. However, unless someone releases an easy method or tool, I doubt the people like those that gore was talking about will...

Use snort, or at the very least IPChains/Tables to help deter people I suppose. There isn't too much you can do about people port scanning you and such except close those ports, maybe recompile your...

Also, you can boot into another OS (live boot) and try to figure the password out that way as well. That is if LANMAN is enabled, otherwise, from what I've heard, good luck.

Thanks for the update. Also, on Insecure it says that FE is hella behind on Windows. ^_^ Besides, you automated testing via scripts is nicer without the front end?

Have you tried installing SP2, and then updating again? (or as previously suggested do a rollback, then reupdate).
