good evening ,
i have a linux printer server on a windows lan.is there any way to come up with a password prompt everytime i want to print a document from a windows client?i use fedora core4.only...

well as soon as there isnt an obvious solution, i can provide u with one .
if u install win98 on the printer server, then u will come up with a pass everytime you want to print from a client....

i have a network with clients that run winxp pro.
i also have a printer server running winxp pro.
same user/pass for all those machines....

you can download a registry editor.there are many free on the internet.you can also download an additional task manager , too.but i was wondering if you just want to bypass a security restriction or...

one more thing.by using the bat2exe prog you will tansform your .bat file to .com file.
if you want to make your bat file uneditable or unreadable then you won't achieve that by using bat2exe........
