Epiphany wins hands down every time for me.
IE sucks of course cause it is windows based for a start, Firefox is so Resource intensive and suffers from flash issues.

Well CA's communicate via AD replication either intra site or intersite.
If your AD replication is working then there is no problem, you dont need to open a specific port for CA comms.

you need to be more specific.
could be a NT$ domain in which case you would use user manager for domains, or Windows 2000/2003 in which case you would use Active Directory USers and Computers.

We get this sort of problem all the time at work.
Try ElcomSoft Co.Ltd and download AOPR (Advanced office password recovery)
It will recover anything from office inclusing VBA, Excel, macro etc...
