instead of deleting users at my old job, we would just set them as 'inactive' so that if that person was ever rehired for the same position, then they would have the same resources to whatever groups...

I agree, it sounds like a huge conflict of interest to me.
If they don't 'fix' a flaw but they can update the AV signature in their product, is that in their best interest or the customers ? ...

OK, thanks to zENGER's suggestion, I remembered back to my old dos days....
and I made a batch file that will find all the files and delete them. Crude but efficient.
