Your right... In that instance ¬ is a space but it is a rotating key so each character transposotion has 4 possible shifts (I just gave away how long the key is... LoL)

If this is going to be something that is truly independent then you may have to compile a database of known malware yourself, which is a huge task, and then figure out a method for identifing them...
