Ahh, sorry, bad habit...
From that page I found out that to do a windows based cluster on a large scale would require me to upgrade to windows server 2003. Which is made to be able to cluster...

Well, both ettercap and snort are on the same machines. And no its not just interent traffic. I can watch it all. I have ettercap and snort on a admin laptop, I just plug in and go into promiscuous...

did you ever try ping'ing or doing a tracert on both IPs? I would think that if you did have an IP problem, ie spoofed, etc. that you wouldn't be able to get on the net because your request would be...

Hmm, well, in NT you can run task manager on the server and it has a bandwidth option. I do this with my network I manage and can easily DoS the server with pings for the workstations... I used task...

Hmm, I would agree that it is architecture based. because the network I admin, it is switched and routed, and I have no problem sniffing it all with ettercap and snort. it has 3 different subnets...

I know it is all said and done, but anyone ever think about doing a netstat command, and seeing if it is IRC (port 6667)? I know this person probably has NO clue about DOS... just a thought...
