and yes there is an update for the firmware and here im the thise zone there is about 25 strong signal for access points and by the way this zone is about 500 m (bad noise)...

i am working in wireless ISP and i am using D-LINK DWL 2000 AP or AP+ as AP client in the user tower
i used to use 900 or 1000 and its working good but with the 2000 its works good...

keep in touch with housecall.trendmicro.com from time to time and use its free scan ...

sorry i think i am late here but i have some things maybe helpful
first u can scan it as SwordFish says by restarting the OS to safe mode and scan it ...
secound u can do it by the cleaner...
