The HTTPS session exists between the computer and the HTTPS server via the router. The HTTPS traffic is simply encapsulated inside the WPA traffic.
What I did, is I made a small "dish" out of cardboard and metal wire-mesh, and stuck it to the antenna on one of my d-link routers. I aimed this "dish" (which looks more like the outside of a...

BT's covert trial of Phorm's ISP adware technology in summer 2007 involved tracking many thousands more customers without their knowledge than previously reported, it's emerged.

The problem with pets outlasting their owners is the fact that they usually go "mental" when they know their owner will no longer be there for them.
Case in point: about 3 years ago, around my...

Errmmm, 'scuse me, but I worked rather hard to get my antipoints to where they are today. I think I'd rather keep them, if nothing more than to remind myself of where I'm at compared to anyone else....

Has nobody else tried running programs in win 3.11 in winXPpro? I have an old harddrive with win3.11 installed, and I put this as slave, and my winXPpro drive as master in my old desktop. Booted...

This sounds rather similar to the setup I have.
My gateway thinks all traffic...
Oh lord, the forum post screwed up my bits and crap...oh well.
Hrmm, so you only use switches and not hubs? Odd. Some of the more efficient networks I've seen have hubs connecting their computers, and then a switch for every department. Cuts down on the cost...
What are some basic specs of your network? Some questions:
What standard of cable is used?
How many nodes are on the network (computers, printers, networking devices(hubs, switches, etc),...
Wait a minute, your router is connected to a hub, which is connected to your modem?
If so, you can eliminate the hub altogether, and simply tell your router...
Thanks guys, this solved a problem I was having with sharing my dialup connection through an old dell optiplex (internet gateway) and a microsoft router I had found on the side of the road somewhere....

Let's try this another way:
Wireless network that requires you login first before getting access, on an unencrypted connection:
Host A = Access Point
Host B = legitimate user
Host C =...

I did use to be NukEvil, but I have forgotten my password for that account (and I think there's a time limit on how long an unused account can stay in the system), so I created NukEvil2. I'm not...

Meh...just referring to the fact that some ppl don't actually read the contents of a bill before posting elaborate web pages against it. I can do without the government enacting more "security" laws.
March 25th, 2007, 09:26 PM
I am very interested in computer security, and I do try to help people out from time to time. Most kinds of security are important to me. However, there are some kinds of 'security' I can do...

K, before this thread gets way out of hand, I will point you all to this board's future if something isn't rectified immediately:

I'd LOVE to have 512GB of Ram in this laptop...and in all my other computers for that matter.

Heh, the last time I played an x-box was 3 nights ago, when me and a few friends got together at my brother-in-law's (brother's-in-law?) house and played halo against each other. 6 hours. The time...
